Job Overview

SoftSages Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex Python applications using AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Python applications using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Develop and maintain ETL data processing pipelines using Python and AWS services.
  • Implement database development and data migration using Postgres and Redshift.
  • Design and implement data lake access APIs using Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
  • Ensure granular access security and integration with Okta/Cognito.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Python development.
  • Experience with designing Glue jobs using Python Shell and PySpark.
  • Full understanding of Python applications design, code structure, packaging, and deployments.
  • Ability to write unit tests and use various mocking techniques.
  • Functional knowledge of Docker.
  • Experience with ETL data processing and Airflow.
  • Experience with writing AWS Lambda functions.
  • Experience with SNS/SQL implementation techniques, event triggering, and Step Functions.
  • Experience with infrastructure building using AWS CDK.
  • Understanding of logging in AWS.

Working Conditions:

Washington DC 20006 - Remote with one day a week onsite. Per Federal Govt Sector U.S Citizenship is required. Ability to pass Federal background check is required for Level 4 Public Trust Clearance.
