Culinary Specialist

At Discovery Point, we are seeking a skilled Cook/Floater to join our team. As a Cook/Floater, you will be responsible for preparing meals and snacks for the children enrolled in our center. You will ensure that meals and snacks are ready at scheduled times and prepare and serve food according to the approved menu, under proper health and safety methods.

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children
• Ensure compliance with federal CACFP standards
• Assist in classrooms when needed
• Float in classrooms to give breaks or close down a classroom

• Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
• Ability to be trained in food service certification
• Ability to be trained in CPR, Fire Safety, and Nutrition
• Meet state background check requirements
• Experience in childcare and teaching experience
