Job Summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant to join our team in the Department of Pediatrics and Department of Neurology. The successful candidate will assist in the coordination and implementation of research studies, including subject recruitment, data collection, and data management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and consent research participants for various studies
  • Collect and manage data from research studies, including biological samples and survey data
  • Assist in the development and implementation of research protocols
  • Coordinate with research staff and investigators to ensure smooth study operations
  • Maintain accurate and secure records of study data and participant information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheet software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in research coordination or a related field
  • Knowledge of research ethics and regulations
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality
