Banner Staffing Services (BSS) provides Registry/Per Diem roles within Banner Health, ideal for those looking to begin their career in healthcare. These positions are utilized as needed across our facilities, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule.
Position Summary:
This role involves executing designated procedures in line with departmental and facility protocols. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for the patient demographic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct procedures by adhering to and confirming orders from referring providers. Utilize independent judgment and apply learned methodologies according to established guidelines.
2. Educate patients and their families about the procedures and treatments to be performed, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions while promoting teamwork and quality outcomes.
3. Generate high-quality imaging and compile relevant patient information for prompt interpretation, ensuring accurate documentation is maintained.
4. Exhibit proficiency in performing designated invasive or interventional procedures, if applicable, in accordance with established policies.
5. Conduct and assess equipment quality control measures, troubleshoot issues, and notify appropriate personnel to ensure optimal equipment performance while maintaining a safe environment for all.
6. Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to practice, including maintaining confidentiality of all work-related information.
7. Ensure efficient workflow within the department, monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels to prevent service interruptions.
Qualifications:
Requires national certification in the relevant specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Uncertified new hires who are eligible for Registry must achieve certification within a year of employment. BLS certification is mandatory.
This position necessitates clinical expertise typically acquired through 1-2 years of experience. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication and human relations skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and resolve issues.

Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
