About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Field Services to join our team at Energy Vault. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects executed by Energy Vault, where we have warranty obligations or hold Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of projects that may include multiple technologies, both generation and storage.
  • Lead the negotiation of LTSA contracts with customers, working closely with procurement and legal teams to ensure successful contract execution.
  • Develop and launch a comprehensive training program for field service technicians and managers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Design and implement a materials and tools tracking and inventory system to optimize equipment availability and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and train a team to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to troubleshoot issues and mitigate failures.
  • Support product and project engineering teams in the development of maintenance manuals and budgets to ensure accurate and timely maintenance activities.
  • Manage service providers and equipment suppliers to ensure maintenance requirements are met, and equipment uptime and availability are maintained in accordance with contract terms.
  • Develop performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work with the asset management team to integrate them into performance analytics and reporting cadence.
  • Develop best practices and tools for service execution and management to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Develop and implement best Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices applicable to services and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with management experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in managing services and operations in renewable power generation or service-focused organizations that include electrical, controls, and network communication systems.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management, and consensus-building skills.
  • Knowledge of general and national codes and standards applicable to medium voltage power systems, Solar Energy, or Energy storage systems is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and influence positively a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record.
  • Must be able to travel to domestic locations as needed per project.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
  • Work will be performed in a standard office environment, in front of a computer monitor, and will involve sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing, and reaching.
  • Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
