Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures timely attendance and compliance with professional dress standards
  • Engages in professional communication with school staff, administration, students, and families regarding health-related matters
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge in nursing practices and relevant health information
  • Assesses and modifies treatment plans to achieve the best outcomes
  • Delivers nursing services according to established healthcare plans and physician directives
  • Fosters a compassionate and respectful clinic atmosphere for students and staff
  • Provides guidance on hygiene practices and oversees dietary restrictions
  • Serves as a health resource and advocates for wellness initiatives among students and staff
  • Complies with nursing regulations and ensures accurate record-keeping
  • Administers medications and ensures the clinic is clean and well-stocked
  • Offers immediate care for injured or ill students until parental notification
  • Refers ongoing health issues to the Lead Nurse for additional support
  • Performs additional duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid RN or LPN license in Georgia, CPR/AED, and American Red Cross First Aid certifications preferred
