Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, oversee audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting.
  • Provide input into the department's goal setting process and assist with training/reviewing staff's work.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, prepare error-free financial statements and regulatory reporting documents, analyze financial reports & summarize financial status, maintain account balances and bank statements (including accounts reconciliation).
  • Assist with audits and taxes, prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders, manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen financial reporting, ensure compliance with GAAP principles, and liaison with financial and/or accounting management to improve financial procedures.
  • Make sure that payroll data is properly mapped and recorded on the accounting system, provide ad-hoc analysis, variance explanations, payroll analysis and other types of analysis, ensure daily cash posting and periodic bank account and credit card reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • 5 years experience in an accounting function with demonstrated knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • 3+ years of revenue recognition in a multi-site healthcare services environment is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA or CMA) license preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software (Netsuite preferred) and AP system (AvidXchange).
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as attention to detail, aptitude for numbers, quantitative skills, business acumen, and ability to accurately complete assignments by due dates.
  • Advanced proficiency & knowledge in: MS Excel skills, including Vlookup, Pivot tables and Hlookup, bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
