Senior Accountant Opportunity at Active Day

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Active Day, a premier provider of adult day health services. As a Senior Accountant, you will report directly to the VP of Finance and be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General ledger accounting, including preparation, posting, and documentation of journal entries.
  • Monthly reconciliation and research of balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
  • Assist with budget variance reports at month-end with explanations of variances.
  • Assist with monthly cash flow analysis for corporate entities.
  • Assist with audit and tax at year-end.
  • Special projects and reports.
  • Cash reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Multi-location accounting experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
