Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee capital projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
- Facilitate contractor and maintenance operations.
- Diagnose issues with process equipment and control systems.
- Deliver training and technical support.
- Design control systems for machinery to enhance productivity and ensure safety compliance.
- Travel to various locations for project planning and execution support.
Essential Knowledge:
- Fundamentals of Project Management.
- Expertise in Rockwell Automation software and Allen-Bradley hardware.
- Industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and communication protocols.
- Principles of electrical wiring and Data Historian development.
- Comprehension of power distribution and software/data communication protocols.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Keep abreast of advancements in controls and technology.
- Ability to interpret mechanical design schematics.
- Programming logic for control systems and configuring VFDs.
- Development of equipment specifications and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in industrial or manufacturing controls engineering.
The role is situated within manufacturing environments, with occasional travel required. The work pace can be rapid and demanding, with multiple projects being managed simultaneously.
Work Setting:
- 80% office-based - focusing on project development, documentation, and meetings.
- 20% travel - for project support, equipment installation, and vendor interactions.
