Position Overview:
Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a qualified Performance Dietitian to enhance the Human Performance Program. This role is pivotal in supporting military personnel at a state-of-the-art facility designed for optimal human performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement nutrition policies and programs in alignment with established guidelines.
- Act as the nutrition consultant to promote a comprehensive fitness initiative for aircrew members.
- Utilize principles of dietetics and behavior change to assess and enhance performance nutrition needs.
- Develop educational materials and performance nutrition content for training programs.
- Collaborate with human performance staff to evaluate nutritional behaviors and requirements.
- Ensure data quality management and compliance with reporting standards.
- Facilitate communication of nutrition programs among leadership and beneficiaries.
- Deliver educational sessions and wellness consultations as necessary.
- Review dietary records to provide assessments for dietetic treatments.
- Maintain professional credentials and licensure.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the facilities used for dietetic services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Board eligibility as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field such as nutrition education or public health.
- Experience with tactical populations.
Physical Requirements:
Must maintain mental alertness and physical stamina for various activities, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
Work Environment:
This role is conducted in a gym or classroom setting, with occasional travel as needed.
Additional Information:
Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Preference is given to BSNC shareholders and their descendants who meet the qualifications.
