Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the care of athletes in community outreach settings, ensuring seamless coordination and communication with stakeholders.
  • Oversee the training room, supervising assistant trainers, and planning and scheduling medical coverage at sporting events to ensure optimal athlete care.
  • Evaluate and manage head injuries and concussions, developing appropriate return-to-play guidelines in collaboration with system entities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment logs, injury reports, and doctor's referrals using the St. Luke's Athletic Training Program (ATP) electronic medical record.
  • Ensure the implementation and discussion of an Emergency Action Plan with the school's Athletic Director, coaches, and athletes.
  • Travel to local community, sports, and school events to provide medical support and care.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the state of practice, Board of Certification (BOC) certified, and current CPR/first responder certification.
