We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at St. Luke's Health System. As an Athletic Trainer Outreach, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient-centered care to athletes in community outreach settings.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the care of athletes in community outreach settings, overseeing the training room and supervising assistant trainers.
- Plan and schedule medical coverage at sporting events, ensuring the highest level of care for athletes.
- Evaluate and manage head injuries and concussions, developing appropriate return to play guidelines in collaboration with system entities.
- Maintain daily records of treatment logs, injury reports, and doctor's referrals using the St Luke's Athletic Training Program (ATP) electronic medical record.
- Ensure an Emergency Action Plan is in place and discussed with the school's Athletic Director, coaches, and athletes.
- Travel to local community, sports, school, etc. events to provide care and support to athletes.
- Education: Bachelor degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the state of practice, Board of Certification (BOC) certified, and current CPR/first responder certification.
- Valid Drivers License and Insurance.
