Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional nursing skills and experience in wound care. As a Wound Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the skin integrity of our residents, conducting thorough assessments, and providing expert advice and support.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of all skin integrity in the facility
  • Completing comprehensive skin assessments on new admissions
  • Providing expert advice and support to residents and their families
  • Documenting resident wound progress through charting in resident and departmental records
  • Protecting residents and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Weekly rounding with wound nurse practitioner/physician
  • Maintaining high-quality care by adhering to facility philosophies and standards of care
  • Confidentially maintaining resident trust by keeping information private
  • Monitoring and reporting, including monthly reports
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Long-term care experience preferred
  • Solid computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly and team-oriented individual
