We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Technician to join our team at Cliffside Malibu. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide client supervision and support as assigned, prioritizing the health, welfare, and safety of our participants.
- Monitor and track client activities, documenting all observations and actions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct regular facility and grounds checks, identifying and reporting any security or safety hazards.
- Facilitate clients' daily needs, adhering to the program schedule and ensuring seamless transitions.
- Conduct person and property searches of participants as required, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Perform urine drug screening testing of participants as needed, adhering to established protocols.
- Provide transportation services, including patient transportation and supervision, errands, and shopping, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
- Observe and monitor clients' behavior and interactions, documenting observations in the communication log.
- Maintain awareness of client schedules and personal time, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Complete Med training requirements and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular house and grounds checks, advising supervisors of any irregularities and contributing to a safe and clean environment.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of drug and alcohol dependency, mental health, family systems, and community recovery resources.
- Apply basic knowledge of referrals, both within and outside the organization, to ensure seamless transitions and effective support.
- Demonstrate the ability to confront behavioral changes, identify crises, and recognize when additional assistance is necessary.
- Recognize personal recovery issues that impact job performance and interactions with clients, maintaining a high level of professionalism and compassion.
- Understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
- Attend all staff meetings, in-service trainings, and educational workshops, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Perform office duties, including assembly, breakdown, and quality assurance of client charts, light filing, and answering telephones, under the supervision of the Director.
This is a full-time position working overnight Saturday through Tuesday, 10pm-8am. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for providing exceptional care and support, we encourage you to apply.
