The Logistics Inventory Planner plays a crucial role in orchestrating the distribution and movement of finished products from mixing or distribution centers to central warehouses and designated routes. This position is essential for meeting customer demand while effectively managing inventory levels, shelf life, and cost efficiency. The planner will oversee route plans, verify inventory quantities, and implement the distribution of goods to specific routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess recommendations from the Logility system for route planning and ensure the accurate transfer of inventory.
  • Develop and modify transfer orders, coordinating with transportation teams for seamless execution.
  • Analyze inventory availability at Central Warehouses and propose necessary re-deployments or inter-route transfers to mitigate scrap risks.
  • Maintain service standards for designated SKU categories or priority customers.
  • Oversee inventory transitions for seasonal, limited-time offer, or discontinued products.
  • Establish collaborative processes for warehouse managers, accounts, and supply chain teams.
  • Advise on weekly inventory levels, ensuring open orders are prepared for route delivery.
  • Continuously monitor compliance with schedules, inventory levels, shipment statuses, and identify potential financial and operational risks.
  • Conduct root cause analyses, prepare scenarios and response strategies, evaluate trade-offs, and take ownership of decision-making processes (escalating issues when necessary).
  • Facilitate communication between Logistics/Transport and Shipping departments.
  • Relay risks, issues, and changes to relevant stakeholders and the Distribution Planning Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, logistics, or distribution is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory demand and supply planning.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics center management within a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Proficient in analyzing extensive data sets and extracting actionable insights.

The target annual base salary for this role ranges from $85,000 to $98,000. The actual salary offered will depend on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, specific skills, educational background, certifications, and other legitimate business considerations.
