Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting with sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to company standards and guidelines.
  • Assist with sales and profit goals by monitoring inventory, preparing produce platters, and informing customers of produce specials.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are kept up to date.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying management of any items in need of repair.
