Job Title: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a leading pediatric hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Pediatric Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for:

  • Providing respiratory care to pediatric patients, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy
  • Conducting assessments and developing plans of care for pediatric patients with respiratory conditions
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist
  • Current registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, communication, and organizational skills
