Overview

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Psychosocial Specialist to join our team at UF Health Shands.

**Responsibilities:**

* Assess and provide services to hospitalized children and their families in response to identified psychosocial and developmental needs
* Improve or enhance psychosocial functioning of pediatric patients and families through therapeutic interventions
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized plans
* Provide education and support to families on coping skills and stress management

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in a human service area or related field
* Master's degree preferred
* Extensive knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development
* Two years of experience working with children in a healthcare setting preferred
* Certified or certificate eligible as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
