Job Summary

Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our waterfront/marine focus team, you will be responsible for planning and designing waterfront structures projects, including large and small marinas, ports, terminals, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, breakwater and shore protection structures.

We are looking for a candidate with strong structural analysis and modeling experience, as well as a passion for working on complex waterfront projects. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented engineer with a strong background in civil engineering, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for waterfront structures projects
  • Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed
  • Help resolve design problems and perform field investigations or inspections
  • Work closely with other architects, engineers, scientists, and project managers on multi-discipline projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
  • Professional Engineer license
  • At least 3 years of marine/waterfront structural design experience related to ports, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, breakwater and shore protection structures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using SAP2000 or STAAD, LPile, MicroStation, and AutoCAD
