At the American Association of Motor Vehicles, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Apache Spark.

Job Summary

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a strong proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics and Apache Spark.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Apache Spark.
  • Build and maintain streaming data solutions using Azure Event Hubs and Spark Structured Streaming.
  • Develop and maintain C# applications for data processing and integration.
  • Implement Delta Lake architecture for reliable data storage and processing.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, with a strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. They will also have experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Requirements
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and dimensional modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory.
