Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Team Member to join our team at the Marjaree Mason Center in Fresno. As a Residential Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing direct services to residential clients and families who have been affected by trauma due to Domestic Violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supportive interaction to residential clients daily, including safety awareness and planning, positive relationship building, conflict resolution, and maintaining a healthy environment.
  • Complete agency APRICOT data inputting and collection, as well as intake and orientation paperwork/process with new clients, including drug testing and file creation.
  • Communicate and work closely with Case Management and other internal departments as appropriate.
  • Participate in CM Case staffing/family assessment meetings regarding residential clients/children, as scheduled.
  • Adhere to mandated reporting laws and complete suspected child abuse reports as necessary.
  • Assist in daily activities, special client events, donation organizing, meal support, and food distribution.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops/groups in the Safe House to support independent living skills development and self-sufficiency goals.
  • Transport clients to community activities or appointments, and other client pickup/delivery tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain positive community relations with other agencies and Law Enforcement.
  • Maintain facility upkeep and safety by completing timely and consistent rounds of the house, and completing work orders for repairs as needed or directed.
  • Implement security protocol and procedures if an emergency arises, and notify the appropriate Manager/Director.
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
  • Prepare and maintain files in a confidential manner, charting necessary information pertaining to client in-house progression and house activities.
Requirements
  • Completion of an Associate's degree with some coursework in social work, human services, or victimology, preferred.
  • Experience working in the domestic violence, social work, mental health, or substance field, highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Referral System in Fresno County, and experience using Apricot.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, and bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
  • Ability to be adaptable, open to feedback, change, and new ideas, as well as flexibility with schedule to address shift coverage, meetings, trainings, and additional department priorities.
  • Ability to handle high-volume desk work in an organized manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups or organizations.
  • Ability to adapt to the environment, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions within scope of responsibility.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, and demonstrated ability to work with sensitivity and without discrimination towards diverse cultures, races/ethnicities, socio/economic positions, ages, religions, genders, physical/mental challenges/disabilities, and sexual orientations.
Salary and Benefits

$21.00 (entry level) - $29.40/hour (TOP) with 5% increase for shift differential.
