Position Overview
The Ladders is on the lookout for a driven and results-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer to become a vital part of our dynamic team of Mortgage Consultants. We seek individuals who excel in relationship management, assisting clients while providing exceptional support throughout the home financing journey. Ideal candidates will stay informed about mortgage loan trends and maintain strong connections with various financial institutions, lenders, and advisors. Your primary objective in this role will be to guide clients in achieving their financial aspirations by offering responsible advice throughout the mortgage loan process, from application to closing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with loan applicants to assess their needs, gather information for loan applications, and provide guidance throughout the entire loan process.
- Assist clients in completing mortgage applications, ensuring all documents are accurate and comprehensive.
- Analyze financial information from all relevant parties to determine loan eligibility.
- Submit loan applications promptly and monitor active loan files regularly.
- Prepare detailed and timely pre-qualifications.
- Counsel applicants and address any loan-related issues that may arise.
- Originate and evaluate mortgage loans in accordance with company guidelines and applicable regulations.
- Establish and nurture relationships with Real Estate Sales Professionals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Customer service-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in current office technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Valid Driver's License.
- 1-3 years of experience as a mortgage loan officer is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal mortgage loan regulations is essential.
- Florida State Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License is required upon hire.
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 15 lbs.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
