Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Perdue Farms. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing assigned mechanical work, including equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures
  • Rebuild equipment, including gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks, as needed
  • Read and interpret manufacturer equipment manuals, preventive maintenance task sheets, and safety policies
  • Ensure all equipment repairs and daily work are performed in accordance with OSHA regulations, lockout-tagout, and company safety policies
  • Monitor equipment performance and inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential issues
  • Maintain log books and apply math skills to calibrate machinery to performance standards
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced technical or equipment maintenance training (preferred but not required)
  • 2-4 years of related industrial work experience
  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment
