Hospice Aide

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide to join our team at Gentiva. As a Hospice Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist patients with mobility and ambulation, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Prepare and serve light meals, and assist with feeding patients as needed.
• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, promoting a sense of comfort and well-being.

Requirements:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• At least six months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology.
• Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Current CPR certification.
