We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Framing Specialist to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, creating memorable framing solutions, and maintaining a well-merchandised store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide a safe, clean, and clutter-free environment for customers, and deliver friendly and personalized service to meet their needs.
- Framing Solutions: Create custom framing solutions that meet customer expectations, and deliver sales and production results.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas, including SISO and Directed Replenishment, to ensure a well-merchandised store environment.
- Operational Excellence: Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs, and support shrink and safety programs.
- Team Collaboration: Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, and participate in truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
- Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
- Operational Skills: Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
- Physical Demands: Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching, with the ability to move throughout the store and remain standing for long periods of time.
Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses, and work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
