- Oversee financial accounting records from the general ledger to the preparation and verification of financial statements.
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger by applying accepted accounting principles to all transactions.
- Analyze budgets and prepare variance reports comparing budgeted to actual figures.
- Conduct various account reconciliations and financial analyses as assigned.
- Gather necessary tax documentation for the tax accountant.
- Review monthly balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements for accuracy.
- Support the coordination of monthly closing and the production of financial statements to ensure timely reporting.
- Prepare required statutory and other relevant reports as assigned.
- Assist in reviewing and updating monthly closing procedures.
- Examine supporting subsidiary schedules to ensure compliance with accounting practices and make recommendations.
- Assist with external audit preparations as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality of all business and operational information.
- Exhibit a responsible and positive attitude, serving as a role model for colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in financial accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to take on additional responsibilities.
- Professional demeanor and work ethic.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Represent the organization in a courteous and professional manner.
