Integrated Mental Health Therapist II, III or Licensed Professional

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Integrated Mental Health Therapist II, III or Licensed to join our team. As a core member of our Clinical Care Team, you will work within a medical setting to provide diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management in coordination with other teams or parties involved in treatment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of chronic conditions, including substance use disorders and behavioral health concerns that contribute to a patient's inability to adequately address their medical needs. You will also have an understanding of chronic medical conditions that can lead to depression and other mental health concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide brief, strength-based, and solution-focused services to adults, children, and families
- Assist with emotional and behavioral stabilization, including suicide prevention, de-escalation of patients, and referral for crisis services when needed
- Provide motivational-based wellness coaching and help patients create self-management goals
- Work with patients to increase their level of motivation to meet goals
- Educate staff on the process for mental health service referrals and psycho-educational topics as directed by BH protocols
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work, which includes coursework in psychological diagnostics
- One to three (1-3) years of experience in the field for Integrated MH Therapist II, or three (3) or more years of experience for Integrated MH Therapist III or Licensed
