Job Summary:

Cleveland Clinic in Florida - Weston is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team of anesthesia professionals. Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations of patients, write accurate notes in charts, and order and evaluate laboratory work.
  • Formulate anesthetic care plans based on current knowledge and scientific principles, and explain procedures to patients and answer questions as necessary.
  • Administer anesthesia according to commonly accepted standards of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists (FANA).
  • Maintain knowledge of anesthesia equipment and follow standard medical practice in the induction, maintenance, and emergencies of anesthesia.
  • Ensure sterile technique is preserved and work areas are free of obstacles.
  • Monitor patients continuously throughout the anesthetic with appropriate documentation, recognize abnormal physiological responses, and take corrective action.
  • Transfer patients to the recovery room and remain until report is given and patient condition is stable.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes on a regular basis and maintain completed and up-to-date documentation and files.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthetist Program.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of infection control practices and cognizance of the physical and general characteristics of various age-related groups.
  • Florida Nurse Anesthetist License and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification in Florida.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
