- Corporate Consolidations: Manage and verify monthly subsidiary consolidation models, ensuring accuracy in intercompany eliminations and handling multiple currency translations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including consolidated and individual subsidiary reports. Participate in the review and analysis of financial statements, focusing on Mfg/SG&A analysis and reporting. Maintain reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
- Subsidiary Transactions: Oversee and coordinate all intercompany general journal entries.
- Audit Coordination: Assist in the organization of external audits by maintaining necessary documentation for cash receipts/disbursements, inventory, and payroll as per SAS requirements.
- Bond Accounting: Conduct monthly reconciliations related to bond transactions.
- Cost Management: Establish standard costs, analyze production variances, and evaluate gross margins for existing and new products.
- Activity-Based Costing: Contribute to the ABC/M team, focusing on either Manufacturing or SG&A. Ensure timely completion of related profitability reports and analysis.
- Operational Oversight: Act as a liaison between Accounts Payable and Purchasing, oversee monthly A/P ledger close, and review all A/P reconciliations.
- Banking Activities: Support daily banking operations.
- Capital Asset Management: Track capital expenditures and calculate depreciation/amortization.
- Gainshare Calculations: Perform monthly and weekly gainshare calculations.
- Team Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accountants on complex issues and assist in training new staff on their responsibilities.
- Backup Support: Serve as the primary backup for the Financial Accounting Manager when required.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other related responsibilities as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience is required.
- An MBA or Master's in Accounting is preferred.
- CPA/CMA certification is not mandatory but is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Familiarity with AX/D365 operating systems is a plus.
