Key Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Care Supervisor, you will:

  • Administer all respiratory therapy procedures in both general and critical care environments.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects related to blood gas analysis, including maintenance and troubleshooting of blood gas equipment.
  • Conduct training and annual competency assessments for respiratory care staff.
  • Perform direct observations for respiratory therapy and operating room personnel.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Possession of a valid Texas State Respiratory Care License.
  • Successful completion of the NBRC Advanced Practitioner examination.
  • Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
  • Active NBRC credentials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or medical field, with a minimum of two years of experience in nonwaived testing is preferred.
