Overview of AEG
AEG is a leader in live entertainment and sports, dedicated to creating memorable experiences for fans and communities. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, AEG operates various venues and events, fostering a vibrant sports culture.
Program Purpose
The AEG Work Experience Program (UWEP) offers students the chance to gain valuable insights and practical experience in sports management within a professional environment. Participants will engage in diverse projects, collaborating with league staff and member teams to enhance their understanding of the industry.
Position Purpose
This role provides exposure to a range of initiatives, including content ideation, creation, and community engagement across various digital platforms. Under the guidance of the Social Media team, the intern will develop skills in managing social media accounts, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. This hands-on experience will allow participants to contribute to the league's digital presence and learn about campaign execution across the broader digital landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the social media department with content creation and data management.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance the USL content strategy.
- Draft engaging copy for social media posts.
- Conduct competitor research to identify best practices.
- Assist in producing graphics and videos for social media.
- Collaborate on player content creation and distribution.
- Utilize tools such as Canto, WSC, Canva, and Photoshop for content management.
- Provide support to other departments as needed for a comprehensive understanding of sports operations.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and eligible for college credit.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic; a team-oriented mindset is essential.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality.
- Able to meet deadlines and manage tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of sports, particularly soccer, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Access to a reliable computer or laptop with internet connectivity is required.
