CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years of experience in culinary, food service, or a related field.
- Associate degree from an accredited institution in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline; 3 years of experience in culinary, food service, or a related field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Upholding Culinary Standards and Responsibilities
- Innovates and develops new culinary applications, concepts, and systems.
- Maintains high standards of food handling and sanitation.
- Ensures all staff are equipped with necessary supplies, tools, and uniforms.
- Assists in all culinary duties during peak times.
- Oversees the preparation and production of food items.
- Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
- Collaborates with Restaurant and Banquet teams to synchronize service and timing.
- Identifies areas needing attention and communicates effectively with staff.
- Supports the introduction of new menus and promotions for dining outlets and events.
- Determines food presentation styles and creates appealing displays.
- Prepares and cooks a variety of foods for regular service and special events.
- Evaluates the quality of raw and cooked food to ensure compliance with standards.
Supervising Daily Culinary Team Activities
- Monitors and maintains employee productivity levels.
- Ensures all assigned tasks are completed efficiently.
- Coordinates the activities of culinary staff engaged in food preparation.
- Utilizes strong interpersonal skills to lead and motivate the team; demonstrates integrity and leads by example.
- Directs shifts while actively preparing food items according to specifications.

- Identifies training needs and provides coaching to enhance skills.

The hourly pay range for this position is $29.81 to $32.69. Marriott offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health care benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, and more.
