Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Highway Engineer/Project Manager to lead our transportation team in Orlando, Florida. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for winning work, recruiting, and developing/growing team members. A strong background in Florida DOT District's 4 and 6 design policies and procedures is preferred.

HARDESTY & HANOVER is a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm with over 137 years of experience. Our clients rely on us for intricate and innovative engineering solutions, and we take pride in our ability to manage the entire life cycle of a project, from study and planning to design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market services to current and prospective clients to assist in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations
- Oversee engineering designs, including geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, construction, and maintenance of traffic details
- Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams
- Perform internal quality control procedures
- Develop and grow team members through training and mentorship
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college
- Florida Professional Engineering Registration
- Minimum of ten years experience
- Proficiency in Microstation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes
- Experience with 3D Corridor Modeling is a plus
- Knowledge of FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards
- Knowledge of other transportation disciplines and their relationship to roadway design
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to train and mentor entry-level staff
