Key Responsibilities:
General Management:
- Responsible for the opening and closing of the facility according to established protocols.
- Ensure all departmental opening and closing tasks are executed accurately and promptly.
- Assist in managing banquet functions as required.
- Collaborate closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Work alongside the Bottle Shop Manager to enhance guest interactions, whether they have reservations or not.
- Oversee the front-of-house team, including Tasting Hosts, Food & Drink Runners, Bartenders, and Hostesses.
- Manage inventory orders for the Lounge, including beverages, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Partner with the HR department for recruitment and staff management.
- Supervise, schedule, and train team members effectively.
- Review and approve requests for time off.
- Balance daily cash drawers and manage POS transactions.
- Resolve any front-of-house and back-of-house conflicts.
- Participate in team meetings as needed.
- Address employee concerns in a professional manner.
- Train staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Implement and evaluate team training programs regularly.
- Provide weekly work schedules to team members in a timely manner.
- Assist in recruitment efforts, reviewing applications and conducting orientations.
- Conduct interviews with a clear outline of job responsibilities.
- Identify training needs and offer ongoing development opportunities.
- Educate team members about Folino Estate Winery, our wines, and how to create memorable guest experiences.
- Train staff on effective selling techniques to boost wine sales and encourage repeat visits.
- Instruct team members on promoting our wine club memberships.
- Deliver superior customer service to guests while providing strong leadership to staff, focusing on enhancing the guest experience.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance are upheld daily across all departments.
- Manage customer seating during peak hours efficiently.
- Address guest complaints following established guidelines, offering solutions and ensuring follow-up to prevent future issues.
- Guarantee that guests depart with a positive impression.
- Enforce health and safety protocols and sanitation standards in public areas.
- Support team members during busy periods (e.g., expediting food, serving water, clearing tables, polishing silverware, seating guests).
- 1 to 3 years of experience as an assistant manager in a full-service restaurant.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Proven track record of success in previous roles.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- RAMP or TIP certification is required.
