Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

Solution Development:
Lead the design, conceptualization, and execution of material handling automation and logistics solutions.
Utilize your mechanical engineering expertise to create detailed layouts, flow diagrams, and technical specifications.

Collaboration with E&I and PLC Teams:
Work closely with the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) teams to ensure the smooth integration of MHE solutions.
Provide technical support and guidance to E&I and PLC teams throughout the design and implementation stages.

Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Contractor Oversight:
Prepare comprehensive RFQ documents for material handling initiatives.
Assist in the contractor selection process and actively monitor contractor performance regarding technical specifications.
Ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications by contractors.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT):
Conduct relevant Factory Acceptance Tests for mechanical engineering to validate the quality and functionality of MHE solutions.
Document and report test outcomes, providing recommendations for enhancements as necessary.

Adherence to Safety and Ergonomics Standards:
Ensure that all MHE designs comply with local safety regulations and ergonomic standards.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address safety considerations during the design process.

Coordination with Regulatory Departments and Consultants:
Engage with regulatory departments and consultants for mechanical and MEP (Sprinkler) design and installation.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards in mechanical and sprinkler system designs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in designing material handling automation solutions, focusing on logistics and efficiency.
Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
In-depth understanding of E&I, PLC systems, and mechanical engineering principles.
Experience in preparing RFQ documents and managing contractors effectively.
Ability to conduct Factory Acceptance Tests and analyze test results.
Familiarity with safety and CE standards in material handling design.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-departmental coordination.
Experience in liaising with regulatory departments.
