Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Coach to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. As a Coach, you will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Programs: Develop and oversee a progressive swim program that aligns with the goals and objectives of the Gold's Aquatics Club.
  • Create Effective Training Plans: Design and implement effective training plans to help swimmers improve their technique, endurance, and performance.
  • Conduct Practice Sessions: Conduct regular practice sessions and provide on-deck coaching to swimmers during scheduled training hours.
  • Evaluate Progress and Provide Feedback: Evaluate swimmers' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide individualized feedback and instruction.
  • Coordinate Meets: Plan and coordinate participation in swim meets, including registration, event selection, and team travel arrangements.
  • Foster Team Environment: Work closely with other coaches to ensure consistent coaching methods and maintain a cohesive team atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Proven Coaching Experience: Previous coaching experience with a proven track record of success in developing swimmers at various levels.
  • Expertise in Swimming Techniques: Possess a deep understanding of swimming techniques, training principles, and competitive strategies.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their full potential.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with swimmers, parents, and club staff.
  • Certifications and Software Proficiency: Current certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hiring) and familiarity with meet management software and the ability to analyze and interpret race results.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of USA Swimming rules and regulations (if applicable).
  • Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate practice sessions and swim meets.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 based on industry standards and the location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
