Water Sports Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water Sports Coach to join our team at Gold's Aquatics Club in Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.

This is a part-time position, requiring 10-20 hours per week, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends to accommodate practice sessions and swim meets. The ideal candidate will have previous coaching experience and a proven track record of success in developing swimmers at various levels.

• Design and implement effective training plans to help swimmers improve their technique, endurance, and performance.
• Conduct regular practice sessions and provide on-deck coaching to swimmers during scheduled training hours.
• Evaluate swimmers' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide individualized feedback and instruction.
• Plan and coordinate participation in swim meets, including registration, event selection, and team travel arrangements.

• Possess a deep understanding of swimming techniques, training principles, and competitive strategies.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with swimmers, parents, and club staff.
• Current certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Familiarity with meet management software and the ability to analyze and interpret race results.
• Knowledge of USA Swimming rules and regulations (if applicable).

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
