Job Summary

This Driver position is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to senior residents at Oak Meadows in Oakdale, MN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the bus/van for transportation purposes
  • Complete transportation routes and duties in a timely manner
  • Maintain a log of transportation services and tasks performed
  • Organize work assignments and modify schedule as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle
  • Communicate with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies
  • Provide supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties
  • Follow policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations
  • Function effectively with limited direct supervision
  • Be responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers
  • Practice sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services
  • Know and practice infection control procedures
  • Know and practice fire and disaster procedures
  • Know and practice safety procedures
  • Recognize and act appropriately on safety hazards and incidents
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Display knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights
  • Provide assistance to all participants and residents, as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Current driver's license in good standing
  • Must be insurable under the employer's auto insurance coverage
