Job Summary:

As a Radiation Therapist at Highmark Health, you will play a vital role in delivering therapeutic radiation and patient care services as prescribed by physicians. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform patient simulations to ensure accurate treatment delivery

Deliver prescribed radiation treatment to patients with cancer

Assess, support, and educate patients according to specific department guidelines

Maintain medical records for treatment delivery, charge entry, and quality assurance in accordance with regulatory and departmental guidelines

Perform other duties as assigned or required, including mentoring employees/students and participating in department and organizational initiatives

Qualifications:

ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(T) in good standing or board eligible (must complete certification within 1 year of hire)

CPR – American Heart Association certification

Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
