Job Summary:
Choctaw Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to active duty Special Operations personnel, retired military members, and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Implement policies and conduct screenings, clinical counseling, and case management services to support the mental health and well-being of our clients.
- Serve as a point of contact for behavioral health services and provide a spectrum of behavioral health interventions, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, and evidenced-based therapies.
- Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required.
- Maintain accurate and current notes in electronic medical records and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment.
- Participate in military-specific training and activities, such as security clearances and use of DoD clinical practice guidelines.
- Conduct peer reviews and quality of care reviews as directed by the local government credentialing body and local medical oversight process.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a mental health field, such as social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
- Current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice as a mental health professional in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Ability to obtain and maintain either a Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) as certified by the American Heart Association.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military and/or SOF experience.
- Experience working in a Government setting, such as DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.
- Prior experience in Substance Abuse/Disorder Treatment.
Working Conditions:
This position may require staff ride on watercraft, aircraft, and other vehicles utilized by special operation units to accomplish their missions.
Personnel may be required to produce papers, reports, or presentations related to their specific area of subject matter expertise for publication on webpages or periodicals; and/or presentation at government-sponsored meetings, conferences, and symposia.
All data and materials produced under the performance of this contract shall be the property of the US Government as provided for in the relevant contract clauses.
