Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Patient Care: Perform general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.
  • Assist with Medical Procedures: Assist the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Collect and Document Patient Information: Collect assessment data, prepare patient for examination, and document clinical information on patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Order diagnostic tests as directed by registered nurse or physician/clinical provider, gathering and interpreting results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment.
  • Schedule Procedures and Obtain Authorizations: Schedule procedures and obtain authorizations as necessary, ensuring seamless patient care and communication.
  • Administer Medications and Collect Specimens: May give injections or medication, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing, maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent, current state licensure as an LPN or LVN, and CPR certification.
  • Experience and Skills: 0-1 year of healthcare experience, state-approved IV course certification, knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process, and PALS or ACLS certification may be required based on the specific area of practice.
