Job Summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of our neonatal services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient care to neonates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical exams, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients and families to promote self-management and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact state.
  • Active certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in a hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Spanish proficiency.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
