Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Food and Beverage Server to join our team at TPC Southwind. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that they have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, making them feel at ease and ensuring they have a positive experience.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that guests receive their food and beverages in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that work stations are properly stocked and maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Advise supervisors of any guest complaints or issues, and work to resolve them promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in the continuous cleaning and upkeep of all Food and Beverage areas, ensuring that they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Serve food and beverages that meet our high standards, as outlined in our menu specifications.
  • Prepare and serve soft beverages according to our standard operating procedures.
  • Perform all assigned side work duties, including polishing, rolling, and organization.
  • Keep all stock prepared and ready for use on each shift, and maintain accountability of cash tips.
  • Handle and count cash, make accurate change, and record credit card transactions and member charges.
  • Complete requisition forms for all supplies as needed.
  • Use the proper garnishes, china, glassware, and flatware for all food and beverages.
  • Ensure that the Director of Food and Beverage or Dining Room Manager is informed of any guests who may be intoxicated, and do not serve them.
  • Open the dining room, grill, and/or pub, ensuring that the area is clean and accommodating at all times.
  • Handle any problems that may arise, both courteously and professionally.
  • Maintain responsibility for par stock inventory control on a daily basis.
  • Set up and break down dining room tables, banquet tables, chairs, display tables, and carts, theme decorations, and other equipment as required.
  • Understand and respond to member and guest comments and complaints, and forward them to supervisors immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with operating guidelines, as well as State and Federal laws and regulations relating to Alcohol, Cigarette, and Tobacco Division.
  • Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints established by PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc.
  • Verify the accuracy of all charges, including member and credit card transactions, and ensure proper posting to accounts.
  • Ensure that service procedures are adhered to, as outlined in the TPC Brand Standards.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, acquired through a high school education or equivalent, plus one or two years of additional experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early morning, late night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Working Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, and requires the use of standard office equipment. The employee must be able to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
