Job Title: Senior Diesel Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Richmond, VA. As a Senior Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
  • Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and assign tasks
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and other support tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment
  • Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
