Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: San Diego, CA

Duration: 5+ Months Contract

Total Hours/week: 1st Shift

Description:

As a Data Analyst at MillenniumSoft, you will play a critical role in supporting the contract lifecycle by providing analytical support for pricing calculations, identifying MFC and TC, and developing automation, database requirements, and reporting.

You will work closely with internal technology teams to design and implement database management and analytical solutions to support audits and contract compliance monitoring.

Additionally, you will lead automation projects for manual tasks within the Government contract department and support reoccurring contract performance analytics, such as customer utilization, sales trending, and market penetration.

You will also conduct analysis to determine the most favorable price and GPO TC customer for product addition or modification and provide data management support for contract compliance monitoring and Tracking Customer and Trade Agreement Act reporting.

Other Essential Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data from external solicitation websites, such as FedBizOpps, and create dashboards to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
  • Perform complex and customized analysis to provide customer and business price, price trends, and price impact.
  • Create monthly reporting for all Government Agreements and RFPs/Solicitations.
  • Act as a government liaison to Commercial Operations Business Insights & Analytics team.
  • Provide strong direction and competitive intelligence related to bid/proposal solicitation responses.
  • Support Database and Dashboard creation – QlikView, Sales Compensation reports, IFF reporting, for SCG VP's and management to support business review and decision making.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required with 5 years of related government contracting experience, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, extensive (10+ years) experience in the applicable area.
  • Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience in data mining projects desirable.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of concepts and principles of business metrics and analytical techniques/tools, including their application in executing effective customer contract administration.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of how customers' business relates to BD's overall product portfolio.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Advanced communication and computer skills.
  • Proficient in Excel & data mining tools.
  • Advanced skills in database management and design.
  • Proficient in SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Proficient in SAP BI/BW & Qlikview in the context of Reporting.
  • Familiarity gathering and analyzing information from Third Parties and presenting information in a clear and concise way.
  • Proven ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and support within all levels of organization.
  • Strong analytical mindset – must be able to access situation, collect data and deliver well thought out recommendations.
  • Ability to partner with Sales Leaders and General Management to develop reporting that may represent complex concepts, and defining the business value of solutions in a clear, understandable way.
  • Strong customer centric skills, able to adapt to customer needs while maintaining protection of BD's interests.
