About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Staff Development and Training to join our team at Royal Terrace Healthcare. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing necessary orientation, educational, and learning opportunities to our staff, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform their duties safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Training Programs
- Design and deliver training programs to meet the needs of our staff, focusing on quality care, infection prevention, and control, and other relevant topics.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Lead Infection Prevention and Control Program
- Direct the infection prevention and control program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure an effective infection prevention and control program is maintained at all times.
- Support Staff Development
- Assess learning needs of personnel and develop strategies to meet those needs.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
- Work closely with other departments, such as nursing, to ensure seamless integration of training programs and services.
Requirements
- 1-3 years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LVN program.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LVN in California.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
