Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to controlled substances and patient confidentiality.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop the skills of your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring that they are properly stored, handled, and dispensed.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy by managing costs, improving efficiency, and increasing revenue.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential losses, such as theft or diversion of controlled substances.
  • Workflow Management: Optimize the workflow of the pharmacy to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
  • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
