Strategic Commodity Buyer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team at Volvo Group. As a key member of our global supply chain, you will be responsible for driving the quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability, and risk management (QDCFTSR) of suppliers within the Sheet Metal segment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies to improve supply chain performance, enhance product quality, and drive innovation.
- Drive negotiations and executive agreements with suppliers within the Sheet Metal segment.
- Contribute to segment business planning and collaborate with other members of the global supply chain to develop and execute global supply chain and technology strategies.
- Use the Volvo Production System (VPS) toolbox to drive efficiency across the supply chain.
- Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supply Network Quality (SNQ) team.
- Monitor and analyze supplier capacity to proactively eliminate potential plant impacts and aftermarket part shortages.
- Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics, and financial flows to suppliers.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of strategic purchasing experience, including end-to-end supplier relationship management, sourcing, negotiations, and contracts.
- Strong business acumen and agile working style.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
