The Berkshire Farm Center seeks a skilled Custodian to join its team at the Juvenile Secure Detention Facility in Loudonville, NY. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our buildings and adjacent grounds.

Job Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain buildings/facilities of assigned area, adjacent grounds, and sidewalks using various cleaning substances, products, and equipment.
  • Assist with the cleaning, repair, removal, and moving of furniture from or within various locations.
  • Responsible for removing snow from public areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, and entryways.

You will also have the opportunity to lead and supervise Workforce Development Program youth, mentoring, coaching, and teaching them in all facets of custodial tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the custodial field.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and/or non-profit experience preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of $19.00/hr - $24.00/hr, dependent on experience, education, skills, and other factors.
