Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Ovation Sienna Hills. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver medical and non-medical care to residents as directed by the Team Leader and Plan of Care.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety, including proper positioning and turning of residents.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures, as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., prior to the end of the shift.
  • Report all changes in a resident's condition to the Team Leader as soon as possible.
  • Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent decubitus ulcers.
  • Report injuries of an unknown source, including skin tears.
  • Report and document all accidents and incidents to the Team Leader.
  • Abide by HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with transferring residents.
  • Participate in and receive the handoff report upon reporting for duty.
  • Assist residents with ADLs, including daily dental and mouth care, bath functions, dressing/undressing, hair care functions, nail care, and more.
  • Provide eye and ear care as instructed.
  • Prepare residents for meals and perform after-meal care.
  • Keep residents dry and make beds, changing bed linens when wet or soiled.
  • Weigh residents and obtain vitals per Plan of Care.
  • Answer/Clear resident calls within 5 minutes.
  • Check on all residents throughout the shift as indicated by the Plan of Care.
  • Assist with the care of the dying resident and provide post-mortem care as instructed.
  • Ensure residents have access to fluids in clean containers filled with fresh water or juice.
  • Serve between-meal and bedtime snacks as indicated.
  • Report all complaints and grievances made by residents to the Team Leader.
  • Participate in all mandatory training and compliance programs.
  • Maintain current certifications (CNA and CPR).
  • Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, safety concerns, etc., to the Team Leader immediately.
  • Follow universal precautions and donning and disposal of proper PPE.
  • Immediately notify the Team Leader of any resident leaving/missing from the Community.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
